Based on the principle that organizations and individuals have an obligation to act for the benefit of our society, our firm represents socially responsible clients in non-profit and for-profit sectors. For nearly three decades we have represented credit unions, environmental and conservation interests, Indian tribes, government entities, public interest oriented companies and individuals.

Kevin K. Johnson founded the Professional Law Corporation in 1987 in San Diego, California, and the firm has handled litigation and transactional matters throughout the state. As firm founder and President, Kevin K. Johnson, holds the coveted Martindale-Hubbell AV rating. Our lawyers are all experienced civil litigators with complementary transactional backgrounds in specific practice areas.

Our non-profit practice includes the representation of national, statewide, regional and local environmental groups as well as unincorporated citizens groups. In the not-for-profit context, we have represented and/or represent over one dozen credit unions throughout the State of California.

We are proud to include in our list of clients two former County Bar Presidents (San Diego and Sacramento) and one former San Diego Superior Court Presiding Judge. We also regularly receive referrals from law firms that we have opposed in major litigation matters.

We are committed on an on-going basis to avoiding litigation but when there are no other options we aggressively pursue our clients’ interests in both State and Federal Courts. Once in litigation, we are strong proponents of the mediation process. All of our lawyers have mediation experience and Kevin Johnson has completed mediator training through the National Conflict Resolution Center based in San Diego, California.
